                               RESOLUTION NO. 19133
         
         
                   A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENT OF THE CITY 
                   COUNCIL TO APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF FIFTEEN 
                   THOUSAND AND NO/100 ($15,000.00) DOLLARS TO 
                   PARTNERS FOR ECONOMIC PROGRESS, INC., A 
                   501(c)(3) CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION FOR FUNDING 
                   OF THE NATIONAL SPORTS FISHING CENTER AND 
                   FISHING TOURNAMENTS WITHIN THE CITY OF 
                   CHATTANOOGA IN ORDER TO PROMOTE LOCAL TOURIST 
                   INDUSTRY.

              	   BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
         CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, that it be and is hereby declared the 
         intent of the City Council to appropriate the sum of $15,000.00 
         to Partners for Economic Progress, Inc., a 501(c)(3) charitable 
         organization for funding of The National Sports Fishing Center 
         and for fishing tournaments within the City of Chattanooga in 
         order to promote local tourist industry.  Any funds provided by 
         the City of Chattanooga are to be matched by the RiverCity 
         Company and Hamilton County, Tennessee, in order to provide 
         funding for B.A.S.S. Megabucks and Bass n' Gals Classic fishing 
         tournaments within the Chattanooga area.
